How quickly does it start working on clothes?
Some effects are almost immediate, such as the fresh herbal fragrance that begins to circulate within hours. Deep purification, including eliminating embedded odors, mold, and bacteria, may take longer depending on your closet’s condition. For freshness and protection to reach it's full effectiveness, keep the device on for at least 5 days on strong mode (we recommend you always have Aerlune on)
Does it require any maintenance or filter replacements?
No maintenance or filter replacements are needed. Our devices are made with care, to last. To ensure optimal performance, gently keep the device free of dust from time to time.
How long does each aromatherapy capsule last?
Each capsule provides continuous fragrance and protection for up to 6-9 months, depending on your chosen intensity setting. We're currently working on an aromatherapy box set with new fragrances and will likely launch towards the end of 2026.
I've heard ionizers can dry out the air. Should I be concerned?
That concern is valid for some cheap or outdated ionizers that flood the air with ions or ozone. But Aerlune is different. It uses a self-regulating ionization module with no fans, no UV bulbs, and no chemical output. The result: a gentle, continuous purification process without drying the air or creating harmful byproducts.
Can it cause static electricity or damage to delicate fabrics?
No. Aerlune's ion output is carefully calibrated to stay within a neutral range — purifying without overcharging the air. That means no unwanted static buildup and no risk to silks, cashmere, or other sensitive materials. Your fabrics stay crisp, not clingy.
How far away should my clothes be from the device?
Aerlune is designed to purify the entire wardrobe space from a fixed position. It doesn’t require direct contact or proximity to work. Simply attach it to an inner wall or shelf of your closet, and let it quietly do its job. No repositioning, no airflow management needed.
Does it help prevent musty odors during seasonal storage?
Yes. Aerlune continuously circulates purified, fragrant air throughout your closet, preventing moisture buildup and musty odors commonly found in seasonal storage. Your garments remain fresh, clean, and ready to wear – no matter how long they’re stored.
Can I use it for anything other than wardrobes?
Yes. While designed for wardrobes, it can also be used in enclosed spaces like bedrooms, shoe cabinets, linen closets, workplaces, or storage compartments to keep them fresh and protected.
Will the wall mount come off over time?
We get it - nobody wants a product falling off their closet wall. That’s why we use premium industrial-grade adhesives designed for long-term hold on most closet surfaces.
To date, with hundreds of units shipped, we haven’t had a single reported case of the mount coming off.
However, please make sure to follow the mounting instructions to ensure zero issues.
What happens if my clothes already smell musty — will it fix that too?
Aerlune works best as a prevention system, not a deep-clean solution. If your closet already has a musty smell, we recommend starting fresh first — give your closet a thorough clean, air it out fully, and wash the clothes going back in. Once you're starting from a clean baseline, Aerlune takes it from there, continuously protecting that environment so the smell never comes back.
Think of it like skincare: the best results come when you prep the surface first.
Will one device cover my entire wardrobe?
For reach-in closets, one device covers up to 1.5m2 (5ft2) and provides full protection. For larger walk-in/specialty closets, adding extra units ensures consistent purification throughout the entire space.
Is it safe to use around pets?
Yes. Aerlune is designed to be safe for households with pets. Unlike some older ionizer-based air purifiers that release excessive ozone and dry out the air — which can potentially harm small animals — Aerlune maintains balanced ion output and operates in a closed wardrobe space. Your pets stay safe while your clothes stay fresh.
What changes can I expect? Will I notice anything?
Aerlune is designed to work quietly in the background. You may not notice an immediate or dramatic shift, because it’s not meant to overwhelm your senses.
